U.S. Soccer Development Academy
In 2007 FC Milwaukee was one of sixty-three clubs selected by U.S. Soccer as the nation's top clubs for developing youth soccer players for the U.S. National Teams, for professional soccer careers, and for collegiate soccer. The U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy was formed to provide a competitive and developmental framework for these selected clubs. Selection to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy is based upon overall club strength, and individual club teams will never be considered for acceptance. U.S. Soccer has designed the Developmental Academy to identify the "destination" soccer clubs that all top players in the area should join and play for. FC Milwaukee is the only club in Wisconsin to be accepted by U.S. Soccer to participate in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. This program will be the premier program in Wisconsin for developing elite soccer players and providing them with avenues to collegiate and professional careers.
